If you didn’t run this race, but were thinking about it, you should be kicking yourself. Awesome race!

Thank you Andy and Kim for putting on a spectacular race. It was hard, but we had the best day in Duluth to run one of our greatest assets, the LSHT. The food and good cheers after finishing cannot be beat!! Great job!!

Andy and Kim, this was an excellent event! Great route on a great day. This is a nice addition to the ever-growing trail running menu available in the area. I know it’s a lot of work, and I thank you for putting it together. I’ll be back.
I’d also like to thank to all the volunteers for providing fantastic support along the way. What an excellent crew!

Thank you Andy and Kim! I can’t imagine what it takes to pull something like this off. I am VERY glad my first 50K ultra experience was spent at WD. The hardest and most enjoyable physical test of my life. Can’t wait to return. Scott Keltner was 100% correct, if you missed this run, you missed out.

This was an amazing race! The course was really hard, but you almost didn’t notice it cause it was so beautiful! The volunteers were amazing to stand out there that whole time, great job! A really well organized race, that I will be sure to tell all the Thunder Bay folks about! It was a wonderful experience!
I will for sure be back next year!
Thanks so much!!

Thank you Andy and Kim from me too, it was an excellent race! Great route (even if I did hate you at the power lines!) and amazing views. As the sun was coming up while I was at a ridgeline overlook, I was thinking that there was definitely no better place to be. Great organization as well–having the mileage counts and distance to the next aid station signs was a big help. A big thank you to the very hard-working volunteers also.

Thanks Andy and Kim for such a killer race! Looking forward to helping out next year. Loved the panoramic views atop Ely Peak! Epic.

Wow! Thanks Andy and Kim for a great day. Who would ever believe that a person could have a true SHT experience right in the city? I loved the views overlooking the harbor. Also, thanks to all your volunteers. They did a super job.

Andy and Kim this will surely become a “can’t miss”
race here in the midwest. A stern test on a scenic
course at the most beautiful time of the year.
Perfect combination…..Thanks to you and all the
cheerful volunteers. I will be back.

Yes, this was beautiful course and a well-planned race! I am still stunned by the scenes that rolled by throughout the course.
Super, super directors and volunteers. Thanks to you all!

Thanks for a great race Andy and Kim! The scenery was beautiful and the hospitality of everyone involved with the race was fantastic!
Your volunteers were excellent in all regards!
The course was tough and I have run Grandma’s a number of times over the years, but I was totally unaware of the Superior Hiking Trail. What a great asset to a community! Thanks again!

Thanks for a great race. It was my first ultra and it didn’t disappoint! Just when I thought it couldn’t get any harder…it did! What a challenging but beautiful coarse. I was amazed at all the great views overlooking duluth. I had to keep going, just to see what was next!
Well planned race and great volunteers. Best time of the year for a race like that. Thanks.

Thank you Andy and Kim for a wonderful run through the woods. The 100k was my first ultra marathon and it was a great experience. The course was challenging and made me feel more accomplished when I finished. I never would have made it though without the support of the runners and volunteers. The volunteers were very helpful and friendly. Great race and I look forward to running it again next year.

Chose this race for my first 50K based on the awesome comments from previous years participants. It more than lived up to the hype. It was a perfect fall day, and an amazing trail to run. Well organized, and the Aid station crews were top notch. Thanks to all for putting together such an amazing experience !!
